Circles
A small journaling space for private groups.
Why I started it
I like journaling, but I also like the conversations that happen when people reflect near each other: small groups, close friends, ministry teams, families. Most journaling apps treat reflection as something private and solitary. Circles started from wondering what a gentler shared version could look like.
What it is
A circle gets a daily prompt. People can write, share, and look back together. The goal is not a feed, likes, or performance. It is just enough structure to make writing easier to start and easier to bring back into real conversation.
Current State
The core app is functional and in personal use. Circles, daily prompts, sharing, history views, and streaks are working. I am still deciding how public it should become, but I like that it began as a real tool for real people.
Stack
TanStack, Vercel, Azure Cosmos DB, and Google OAuth.
